... my sunroof is open, windows closed, and prodding that throttle along in say 2nd/3rd gear at 4K RPM.
It's just a thrum of a sound that's mellifluous and nasty at the same time. Definitely a diff noise than when windows down as you hear much more of a brappy/raspy noise.
OEM PSE here, 3.6 engine.
Definitely a sound unique to an N/A flat-6 engine. I love it.

In a cab, I enjoy the sound, and additional exhilaration I feel when starting from a stoplight, smoothly going through the gears, feeling the car rapidly gain speed. I don't have a TT, but I am quite content with the overall feel of my 2003 C4.
Living in Tucson, we've had a really nice Spring, and driving around town say on a Sunday early am with little road traffic and perfect blue skies has been very enjoyable.

PSE doesn't have the bass that sets these things off so easily. Back when I had the S2000 with an HKS exhaust, it was... ez, but I rarely did it cuz I know I wouldn't want some other dude to do it to my car.

Speaking of S2000s, here's a taste test for you (and a thread hijack):
S2000 CR... so good, or no good?

Sir Bruce, I'm not a fan of the aerokit on that thing, but do appreciate Honda for putting it out for the niche players who do value what's in the details. It's definitely functional, but meager in real world results as it is a phasing out effort of an illustrious near-decade run of the S2000 in its current F20C/F22C form.
I'd most definitely recommend an '04-'05 S2000 with the full OEM aerokit. A great looking car that drives with much alacrity. I'm a big fan of the S2000 and will always have really good memories owning it for 60K miles. The timing between it and I was just spot on.
Hijack2: How's IMPRINT?

Imprint is great. It took some time to grow on me because it felt like I'd lost some channel separation. But once I A-B'd it for a few days, I wondered how I put up with the sound without it. It does make me wish for a subwoofer sometimes, though, since the only sound shaping controls you can touch when MultEQ is activated are Bass and Treble. All the other stuff - the time correction, MMX, user EQs - is disabled with it turned on.
But you know what you would like about it? What it does for vocals. Playing junior's hip hop in the car, I can hear Fiddy as clearly as if I was wearing headphones. Lots of presence and texture. By comparison, on my system, with the MultEQ turned off it feels like the EQ curve is inverted... voices drift to the background.
