+1 on using the craftsman wet/dry vac, it works as well as the ones at the car wash. Mine can be wall hung.

Is it rechargeable.

Us condo dwellers don't have plug-ins.

I stick with plug-ins as well. I use the cig lighter outlet with a car vac, but you could always use a standard plug in vac with a power inverter.
