Design package and technic package on 2001 carrea 4
4 weeks ago i bught a 2001 carrera 4 with 36 000 miles on it. I live in Norway and the car was in New Jersey. I still havent recived it but it is on it way. It was no problem in the beginning but now I am insaine, where is mye car....
(the 27 is the magic date)
The sales man told me that the car dident have litronic, but I found out that it had, and he told me that the car hade the technic package. I ws glad because that ment it had Litronic. But the salesman also told me that it had a casseth player not the cd. Anywat I need to cange to europeen radio.
But is it possible that the car has technic and casseth?
And he also said it had adaptive sports seats? Is that stock?
the last thing is that the car has the design package. Anyone has pictures of the:
Stainless Steel Exhaust?
Aluminum Look Instrument Dials? Is that just the white instruments?

It's possible it has the CR-210 Cassette radio I guess with a CD changer
My old 01 Boxster S had the Advanced Tech pack and that had the Cassette radio with a changer as well as the DSP, Headlamp washers, On board computer and Litronic

NAV PCM1 is the navigasjon system? The salesman said it didn`t have navigation, cd player or cd changer. Only the cassette! But he said it has the technic pack!! I am a littel confused....
But most of all I want to see the Stainless Steel Exhaust system!! Anyone?

I believe the 'technic' package means different things between the Mk I and Mk II cars. (i.e. '99-'01 and '02-'04) Your best bet is to take the VIN # and go to porsche and have them pull the build information. It should answer all your questions.

My car is a 2001 coupe (mk1).
Marc: The package you refer I thing is for the cab(wind deflector). It might be diffrent codes for the coupe. I have no clue!!
the car is bought at New country Posche of Greenwich.
I am currently trying to get a confirmation on the first reg date. That is a littel hard!!
