What's your oil pressure reading when engine is OFF? ***Update with photo

I suspect my oil pressure sender is shot ('03 C2 coupe). My oil pressure reads 0.5 bar to 2 bar or anywhere in between in the morning or after shut down, when the engine is not even on! Also, it pegs at 5 bar when rev > 2,200 rpm. It wasn't like that before.
Also, the other day while cruising on the highway, the oil pressure went to zero and the oil pressure warning light came on the OBC. Stopped the car and restarted, everything was fine. The car drives normally.
Any thoughts?
*** Update ***
Dealer replaced the sender. Photos of the new sender unit. You can see the exposed terminals, which are prone to oxidation. Why every other connectors are protected but not these??!

You are obviously using the wrong oil. The Porsche fill is way too light (read water).
Try 20w-60 and you should see a full "5" on the pressure gauge (even with the car off).![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
sorry, I couldn't resist. The guage should not read .5 to 2 when off and it should not read 5 at 2,000 rpm

Check the connections at the sending unit and replace if necessary. You should have no oil pressure reading when engine is not running. A bad ignition switch can cause the same symtoms.

Ray: LOL. In fact, I used 5w-40 Motul Excess and want to see if the engine will burn less oil. The answer is no, unfortunately ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
1999: Thanks. I could see some corrosion on the termial (screw type and no rubber gromet to protect them from the elements! Don't know what the P engineers were thinking! All the other connectors have plastic/rubber cover to protect them except these!!
Nashat: The oil pressure increases with the rpm and that's normal

I have heard that in many GM cars, the oil pressure gauge is for looks, its either on or off, never moves unless there is gauage issues or sending unit issues, lol!
