Default Gurney Flap for aerokit 1 taco wing?

According to renntech's price guide this thing is a hair under 400$. That to me seems absolutly rediculous! Does anyone know where i can get an aftermarket one, or a carbon fiber one or can you suggest an alternate source for the piece?

My wallet will thank you.

thanks man...it still hurts tho.
such a tiny piece costs so much.
i'll try calling some dismantlers and try getting it off them before i fork over so much for such a small piece.

will also keep searching for an aftermarket one

Omar:

Part Number - 996-512-988-00
Price - $278.19 (not including taxes)

Yes a lot but well worth it for functionality. You can get it at any Porsche dealer.

They are glued on. So I doubt very much you will get one from a dismantler. It is a hard piece of plastic, it does bend a little, but trying to remove one, one tha thas been on the car for nearly 10 years, I bet it will break upon removal.

So quit being a penny pincher with your Porsche.

Oh, the spoiler that goes under the front bumper (stock spoiler):

Part Number - 996-505-986-00-G2X
Price - $78.00 (not including shipping or taxes)

I got mine from Dart Auto (search online)

Sounds about right, not sure if prices have increased but the one I bought included taxes and shipping.

You are correct, the price for these things is absurd. So I made my own, check it out.

yes, the dealer wants $275 for a piece of plastic I paid $20 for. A little shaping, a little polishing, & some double sided tape, voila.

I hope the tape holds up. It looks like you did a good job, ascetically speaking.
