Default Advice on a 2000 C2

Hey guys,

After searching for 6 months, i think ive found a pcar that i might be interested in buying. Its a 2000 c2 with Aerokit - Black/Grey 6spd - w/ 66k miles.
Clean PPI. 2-owner car..The car is 500 miles from me, and i havent driven it yet.

Originally i was steering clear of dark colors, but this car looks pretty flashy.

The owner will let it go for 28.5k. Is this a decent deal for a higer mileage 996?
Thanks.

Price is about right for the year and mileage. What other options does it have? I assume the PPI checked for any signs of an impending RMS issue?

Yes PPI checked out good for any RMS. The car is not fully loaded with a ton of options other than aerokit, full leather, heated seats.

Well, I wouldn't really call an eight year old car "higher mileage" with 66k on the clock; that's just a little over 8k per year.

That car looks great I paid less then that for a 2000 996 C2 with 60,xxx on the clock but mine doesn't look that nice nor have the aero kit so I think if it is as solid as it looks and passes a PPI then it is a good deal

how true but for me the deal was too good to pass up for my first 911. Next time I will be more picky about my color :-D.

Not really an issue these days - hit it with the right polish and then a couple of layers of a decent sealant and you're good to go for months.

Detailing forum has lot's of helpful tips - personally now I'm using Ultima, I'm not looking to change

I actually looked at buying this car myself but wanted a little newer model. Let me know if I can help in anyway. I am about 10 miles away from this car and owner. PM me if you need anything...
