Default Clunk noise in front after lowering?

After having the car lowered with Eibach/Bilstein shocks and springs, I have noticed a clunk noise while going over bumps in the road. The shop who installed the suspension re-tightened the parts they worked on and mentioned it may be that my sway bar links may need to be replaced.

Has anybody had this happen?

Hmm, they retightened all the bolts already? If so, the endlinks might be binding... but that's not common. It's usually a loose nut on the swaybar endlink or a loose shock body top nut.

Sway bar mount bolts are a very likely culprit. Make sure they actual mounts, where it bolts to the car, are properly torqued.

This happened to me when I put my H&R springs on. The solution was putting a washer under the upper strut tower nut for each strut. This can be done while they are on the car (weight on wheels). This allowed the nut to be fully tightened and removed the slack.

Check the clamp around the shock body also and see if the actual shock body is loose. I've seen this happen too where the clamp around the shock body isn't tight enough. Don't overtorque, however, it's an aluminum piece.

Mine is doing the same after installing H&R Sport springs.

I have not had time to take it back to the guys at Ruf yet.
