Wink Just having a little fun...

After having lunch, I walked out to the Targa and some 19-ish dude waiting in a minivan next to my car rolls down the window and asks...

Dude: "What kind of car is that? A Mazda RX-8?"

Me: "Yep"

Dude: "Is it fast?"

Me: "Oh, yeah..."

Dude: "I'll bet I could win some races in that!"

Me: "Ain't that the truth!"

cool that you were chill about it. i'd guess 80% of 911 owners out there would get their bras in a bunch in the same scenario.

one of many stories...

was driving in a strip mall parking area and this range rover on chrome stops in the middle of the intersection and yells out

"yo dog, what's the profile on dat?"

(confused cuz people usually ask what size the rims are so i pause trying to figure out what exactly he's asking and whether i can clarify for him, but just gave it to him straight)

"they're 25 series"

"DAAAAAAAAYUMMMMMMM MONEY"

i knew it was a seahawks football player. funny as fuq. (their practice facility is in the same city where i live)

Better yet, you should have told him it was the new Hyundai and it only set you back $7,500.

Nice to see they know their cars . . .

My two most common questions have been:
1. How fast?
2. How much?

I bet you have not been told it looked like an old VW bug primarily because

1. The roof line resembles one
2. The engine is in the back

I just laughed!

Funny.

An 18-19 year old at the Rolex 24 was trying to get me to do a burnout in my C4. I just threw up my hands and shrugged. I'm sure he thought I was lame.

Ben, I'm glad you didn't understand the guy. Cause sometimes I have to go the the young, hip crowd dictionary to translate your comments. Damn, I'm getting old!

Default same thing......

I pulled up to the golf course one day, and one of the greens keepers asks; "What kinda car is that? Toyota?"

I could only cringe, and then laugh.
