Actually I didnt even read that far into honestly. If you ever look at the back of the light switch, it kinda looks like a birth control pack once you pull off the loom..........

I'm having a similar problem. The last 2 times I turned mine on, you get a bright flicker for awhile out of both lights and then they eventualy came on. They may have come on because I was turning the switch on and off and turned on the fog lights to try every combination. Is there a test for the switch or just bite the bullet and replace it?

Would you kindly post the schematic of the head light switch?
I am trying to see how it connects to the background display light (RPM, Temp, Analog Speedometer,
oil, etc)
My digital speedometer is always fine, but sometimes I am left in the dark with no dashboard light.
My headlights work fine.
The reason i want to see, is because the mechanic says the problem is the cluster model,
and not the headlight switch.
What do you think?
Thanks

The manual says to disconnect the battery before removing the headlight switch. I that really necessary? I guess other than having to re-input the radio code it's no big deal but not sure what damage I could cause if I leave the battery connected.

Went to have the car inspected today and both of my xenons are not working either. The high beams flash, the rest of the lights in the car work. The shop won't have time to look into it until Monday, hoping it's just the switch!

Are most the problems with higher amperage bulbs? If so I'd suspect arcing causing burn marks on contacts that makes passing current a problem. Even relays take damage if they aren't up to covering amperages of higher power lights.

I don't know.....but I bet it is a bad switch
