A 2001 over a 2002 became an easy decision for me with my preferred car color and options came with only 10,500 miles and a full 2 year CPO warranty. That makes headlight, bumpers, 3.4 engines, gloveboxes, and interior trim pieces secondary.

I bought my '99 Cab with 103k miles, but bad motor. I drove it home, but that's it. A replacement motor will be ordered in the very near future.... I've been busy fixing other odds and ends (brakes, suspension, top, etc).

01 C2 Cab* 55K runs strong and on original engine and trans. Just out run a new BMW 335I stock the other day. We rolled off in 2nd gear around 4K rpm's, Jumped on him a little. When we went to 3rd I started to pull on him. Anyway, still runs very strong with 55K on it.

... i'm just trying to gauge what owners are getting out the older models...
996's are priced well right now... and there is an additional price break for a '99 - '00... ppl tell me to go with the MKII... but i thought i'd do the research and see what people are getting out of the earlier 996 models...
thanx!
