GT2 tail, what will it fit?
We have a GT2 (996 style) factory tail at the shop and was wondering what year stock 996s will it fit? I havent looked at it that close yet, but I know the air intake intake is on the right side. (passenger side) Anyone know what years it will fit? Or will it fit all 996s??

if its an oem piece, the gt2 tail will fit any 996 tt. the airbox on the tt is different than that of the na cars. you also have a very expensive part there, again if its oem..

Yeah its OEM, long story there,.. So physically it will fit any TT, but what about NA 996s? I know some airbox mods might be necessary, but thats fine..
i guess i should ask, if all NA 996 decklids are the same. from 1999 - up. The reason for the question was someone told me that the 99-01 cars are different.

even though the tt are wide body, i believe the deck lids are the same...do not know, however, if there was a variation on the earlier models. besides the air box you might also need to modify the location of the fan on the deck lid.

it should fit any 996, but you will have to Modify the Air Intakes for in the Deck Lid for the N/A Air Box..., no big deal... how much are you looking for it? and what colour?

First off if its an oem GT 2 wing and deck lid..it will NOT fit a NB 996.Second of all if you want to sell it to me I have a TT it will work on, better yet I have some interesting Gemballa parts that i am willing to trade

A widebody Turbo/GT2 decklid won't fit a NA decklid. the piece right below the rear glass (where the 3rd brake light is) is deeper on the NA 996s. Hell, even the C4s won't be able to take a turbo/GT2 lid/wing.
