Jim... uhmm.... nice door bell in your avatar. However, if I ever come to your house, I think I'll just knock on the door.

Really? I found my 996 VERY comfortable....I guess different body types and sizes for different cars...My Lexus while very comfortable just doesnt quite adjust the way I want it to, so I will have to get used to it....Now my Range Rover has like 18 way adjustable seats and THOSE are by far the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. They are the same as BMW 7 series comfort seats....You can adjust them to mold to your body perfectly. Almost bought a 7 JUST to have those seats!

I had the same concerns about this - felt guilty for driving the car when I saw how low mileage most people had on their pcars. However, I have used mine for a daily driver and it puts a smile on my face everytime I am behind the wheel. I have 55k miles on my 2004 with still 2years left on the Porsche CPO warranty. I have never had any problems with my car - it has never let me down - it is an amazing daily driver. I now have my car for sale at Barrier Porsche in Bellevue (if you are interested in a great car) so I am really missing it. I have a MB to get me by until my new MY08 997 turbo arrives in April. That will be my daily driver too - and I will enjoy every single minute driving it. Drive it and enjoy it - they are such amazing cars.

DD... FTW!

20,000 kilometres in 8 months of ownership. Most comfortable car I've ever owned.

DD here. I bought the poor garage queen and put it to work! I drive it as my only car (wife has a Subi for the ski trips, etc.) year round, even in deep snow. Love it.

Drive mine every day. not sure why you wouldn't. why save it for the nexy guy? the car depreciates whether you drive it or not. i get more enjoyment from driving it than letting it sit.

If you ask my wife, she'll tell you the reason I buy these P-cars and S4's is so something else in the vicinity won't shrivel to the size of a pencil.

I used to share your mentality until I saw how hard winter is on the car. I also grew tired of worrying every time I parked it, especially when I wanted to go up to Philadelphia, Washington D.C., or New York for a night out. The car lacks interior room too if I need to carry any volume of people or things. I eventually caved and bought a daily driver (A Mazdaspeed3).

Mine was a DD and even dropping off two little ones to daycare daily. Really no problem or hassle. I don't DD it now because events forced me to get another car for a while and now that I have it I would rather trash it then the p-Car daily and save it for fun drives. One benefit now that I don't DD the pcar is that every time I hop in it feel fast and special.

No worries with driving one every day, they really like it (the car that is). Letting them sit is the real problem as far as I can see.
