Default WTB 18" Turbo Twist Wheels

Hi Guys

I currently have 17" Turbo Twists on my 1999 C2. I'm planning to upgrade the wheels and install H&R lowering springs to give the car a better look.

I like the factory wheels and the stock look of the car.

Does anyone (preferrably in the Dallas Fort Worth area) have a clean set of 18" OEM factory turbo twist wheels to sell?

The guys over at Ruf Autocenter will be doing the work - great place by the way.

Before and after pictures will follow.

As always, thanks for the help.

Thanks
I did check ebay - believe it or not, there are none worth chasing there. Lots of replicas, but no factory originals.

I was looking for something local that I can pick up.

I will calll wheel enhancement.

Jim,
Try posting on the classifieds section of rennlist. I purchased a set of 18" 5 spoke III wheels with nice tires from this. I think rennlisters are more interested in having someone that will appreciate the wheels or parts they are selling than in how much money they can make, if that makes any sense. Good Luck.

Jim,
P.s. UPS on wheels with tires is very inexpensive. Shipper just placed cardboard over both sides of the tire(s) and taped them. Slapped a shipping label on em and that was it. Good luck.

Thanks
I agree, I would rather purchase from a Rennlist member as well.

I have a set from a 2003 TT (hollow) I use for track, and my original C4S set (solid) for the street. They look exactly the same unless you know where to look. I am thinking of getting a set of "bling" wheels for the street. Look around for what you want, and if you can't find it, I might let the C4S wheels go.

I know, I know, I have to be a member to sell anything here. After 5 years of membership, I let my membership lapse. But, at this point, I'm not selling anything. I'm just offering to help.

Tom just posted 2 sets over on the Racing and DE forum. He upgraded his brakes and now they don't fit!

Even for street use only I recommend that you try to get hollow spoke wheels and not solid spoke turbo twists. I initially upgraded form 17' to solid 18' turbo twists before I got the 5-spokes. The unsprung weight difference was clearly noticable.

Great info guys, but since I have a narrow body I would prefer to stick with the non-turbo version ("turbo-look" is what I need I guess).

How much extra weight between the 17" and 18"?

Thanks as usual - this forum in invaluable.

I know where there might be a set for sale that will fit a narrow body. They are hollow-spoke with no curb rash. What is a fair price for these rims nowadays?

I, too, am looking for a set for a narrow body car.
