Question PS2 Tire Size Question

Hello all,

My apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find the answer in search. I am going to put 19" OEM Carrera Classics on my 99 996 C2. Dave at Wheel Enhancement told me that if I am going to have a 305/3019, then they need to be Continentals, because the side walls are more round. He said Michelin PS2's will rub. I know from previous posts most of you have 295's so my question is dos anyone use a Michelin 305/30/19 on their 996? We all already know the rim and offset so all I need to know if yes or no with the 305 Michelins.

Thanks!

most if not all go 295s on stock rears... are u sure they're 19s are you talking about 997 wheels on a 996? if so, they're 11s in teh back for sure.

Hi Benj,

Yes, 19x11's. I found a set but they have 305 Michelins on them so I was just wondering if I am going to have to change out the tires or find a set with out the tires.

P.S. Damn cold here in Bellevue lately eh?

Whether 305 fits or not depends on how the car sits and the offset of the wheel. If the stars align in your favor they should. 295 is the "safe" fitment.

Will the 305's fit on my '99 996? or will I have to change them to 295's?

OK, Damon thanks. I think I'll hold off and find just the rims then get tires after.

Currently I have Sport Classic II's

18x7.5 et 50
18x10 et 65

I'd run:

19x8 et57 235/35/19
19x11 et67 295/30/19 or 305/30/19

I saw a set of 19's but the rears had 305's not 295's.
