It seems that on almost every sad occasion where one of these cars gets wrecked in a bad way, that had it been most any other car the driver would have sustained worse injuries........a real testament to the solid safety design of Posrche!

Steven- I am SOOOOOOOO SORRY. I too can fully relate to what you are going through as I went through a very similar ordeal in late 06 with my 00 Aero. It truly pains me to see a photo of a similar 996 on a flat bed like that. Thank God you walked away relatively unhurt as that is what matters.
You will be back and we all look forward to what your next project will be.
Good luck with all your financial dealings having to do with the Pcar.

Steven, I'm sorry to hear that you were injured and are in pain. The good news is that you survived. I hope you recover quickly. That was a beautiful car...I'm sure the next one will be equally impressive. It is a great time to buy. You could always use this as an opportunity to upgrade to a turbo. If the insurance offers to sell it back, you might do well parting it out. Good luck with the financial aspect.

They are amazingly safe cars (Porsches in general). I'm glad it did a good job saving your life - even if it loses its life...
Have a speedy, demonic recovery!

So sorry to hear about this. Get well, breathe, be grateful.
Now my attempt at a lame joke to cheer you up:
If you really did total your beautiful ride, then the resale value of mine just went up .00057% Thanks, man.

Really sorry to hear about your car, but also glad to hear that you faired much better than the car.
Wishing a speedy recovery and timely re-in statement in the P-car family

Oh no. That sucks. Glad you're alright.
You're a champ for posting a pic, you know we would have all been hassling you otherwise, j/k.
Take a break, feel better, and saddle up again soon.
Peace,
Dave

Steven,
First and foremost, I am glad you were not seriously injured..... or worse!
Second of all, take your meds and recoupe fully. Don't push it, OK?
Third, what a shame about your car. It was a bad ***, beautifully modded dream! I hated to see THAT pic (and you KNOW how much I like pics)!
Forth, while you are recovering, think about what you want next. A later model 996, a 996TT, or even a 997 C2 or C2S. Take your time and decise exactly what you want and then go get it. You will have a "blank canvas" and can start modding all over again!
Take care, my friend and keep in touch.

My friend, I was so sorry to log in today and see this thread. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. So glad you are going to be ok. I crashed my Hayabusa this last fall and lived (proper gear) so I know what it feels like.
Hang in there.
Paul
