Default CEL code: P2098... lean?

Hi guys!

Good source you guys got here...

I have a 02 Carrera that had the CEL.

Code: P2098: Post CAT fuel trim bank 2, system too lean.

I can't find that code anywhere that's porsche related. Did a search and came back empty. But as a goood student I went ahead and cleaned my MAF (which looked brand new) but the CEL came again affter 3 days. The CEL is solid (not blinking). I'm planning on replacing the air filter (OEM) tomorrow. The car is stock with no mods and 82K miles.
Thanks for all your help and here's a pic of the car!

Can't halp on the CEL.
Could it be the O2 sensor? I'd imagine it's less than $200 and would think it's easy to replace (my 964 was).
Changing air filter is very easy (see DYI).
The car is beautiful! Love the yellow.
Let us know what it is? My '99 has 75,000 miles so I might have the same issue soon!

P2098 Signal Delay Time for Oxygen Sensor Ageing, Bank 2 – Above Limit
I would reset the CEL and see if it comes back.
If it does then replace the O2 sensor.

Thanks Loren. You are a God!
My extended warranty will take care of this but it has to wait ‘til Feb/3rd to let Porsche repair it, otherwise it will have to go to the $5/hour mechs where I bought the car... that’s why I need to keep driving the car for 3 more weeks. Thanks for alll the help. The car drives fine.... (amazing in fact!)
I did reset the CEL on monday morning and it came back today (thursday)

As long as the CEL is not flashing it should be safe to drive.

check your oil cap... make sure its on tight... sometimes a lose oil cap lets air into the system and introduces a "lean" condition... although what you describe sounds like a different issue...
