Back-up light switch
I own a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (year 2002), automatic transmission (Tiptronic). Where is located the back-up light switch on this car? Do you have a drawing showing this component at this location?
Thank you, regards.

I just realized you have a tip, I'm not sure if it's the same part but, on a manual it's on the transmission, it's a small switch that has the pin worn out, real easy fix if you can get under the car safely and fix yourself. And that's a $13.00 fix if you do it and I would bet $100 at the dealer.

Hope this helps.

My shift cable broke and while it was at the dealer they noticed that the switch wasn’t working. They wanted to charge me another hour (at $102.50 per hour) on top of the 4 hours they charged me for the cables but decided just to charge me for the switch after I pointed out that it should only take a few minutes for an experienced mechanic to replace it.
