Default Is this car missing something?

I think there's supposed to be a spare tire in there, but is there supposed to be something mounted on top of that black bleb in the center with what appears to be four pegs? It's a 1999 C4.

Take the floor mats out, then pick up the floor board by sticking your finger through the hole... You'll find the spare under there.

That plastic dome is the cover of the fuel sending unit - in case you ever need to change it.

p.s. if something was "missing" in that trunk, then you'd have practically no cargo capacity at all!

It's missing a 6-disk changer, goes right next to the sending unit. Every porsche is required to have one. Did I mention I have one for sale?

Haw haw! You guys are funny. You can probably guess I don't own a 966 (yet). I've been seeing pics of the spare leaned up in that compartment, so I thought that's how they came. Thanks!

That's how the C2 comes. The C4 has more "equipment" under there to make the front wheels turn...

(Plust the C4s have PSM - which requires a different size spare, but that's another story entirely.)

Ahhhh, I learn yet something else today. Thanks.

Do all the 1999 C4's have PSM? I thought it was only some of them as an option.

My understanding, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, is that all C4s (and turbos) (regardless of year) have PSM.

PSM came standard with the C4 and C4S. It was an option on C2's.

I might seriously get the extra gas tank for the front... I don't keep the spare in there anyway.
