This may be a dumb question, but can you move the A/C/heater panel up and down on the console??? Is it a moveable unit???

Yes, you can move the A/C/heater panel. Post #5 in thhis thread will show you the lower position, which is where most guys will put if they choose to move it. The reason for this is because the "surround" plate that Porsche makes will fit only in the lower pisition. The middle position, as shown in post #16, is unusual because he had to make a custom panel to accommodate that position.

gota911, the uper position did reguire a custom panrl. However the placement makes it easer to get to for A/C adjustment with no interference form the shifter.

Mike - there is no question that if you have to move the AC/heater unit down that the "middle" position you have is more accessable than the lower position.

I just wanted to make sure that rdstemler knew that the middle position was not a "standard" location, and would require some custom work.
