Same thing happened to me after only 2 months of owning my 03 C2 cab.... at first I was in shock that the car didn't start, it was a Friday night and I just wanted to go for a spin...no luck....called for boost, stared no problem. Went for a 30 minute ride and back home, shut her down and tried restarting..nothing.
Next morning bought a new battery and life has been good ever since.....just go get a new battery....they only last 3-4 years....and it was $175.00 to get her back to life!!!

+1 on the new battery
Following this tale of woe I got a new battery and everything has been just fine since.
In addition, I learned many useful things, and got a great cartoon from cdodkin. My mother has forgiven me for the bad language, too.

....from what I've heard slow, low amperage charging is the way to go. Batteries don't like fast, high amperage charging. When possible (time is the key factor) I charge the batteries on my race cars and boats low and slow.

Here's how I mounted the Optima, no need to buy a plate:
Weight Shavings - Optima Battery
Your ignition switch might be bad, a fairly common problem.

With winter coming on and the cold weather setting in....this is the prime time when batteries that are marginal are going to fail. The onset of colder weather just kills what life is left in them. No sense messing with an unreliable battery that will leave you dialing for AAA. Time for a new one.
