Default Becker Radio Codes

OK I disconnected my battery today to clear codes 1124 and 1126. I did this after I cleaned my MAF on the 996. The codes cleared and I knew that the radion would need a code. It was more important to clear the codes than have tunes.

So I hooked the battery back up and the codes had been cleared and yes the radio did not work. After a little searching I found a website that provided the code for me. I gave them the model and serial # and with in 30 seconds they gave me the code ... for free. Since they provided a great service I wanted to let everyone else know. Their web address is http://www.31bubblegum.proboards54.com/index.cgi

I am a new 996 owner and I will get up some pics when I get a membership. The 968 in my avatar is gone but now I have a 92 968 Cab and a 99 996.

That's great, thanks for the info. I was hesitant to disconnect my battery because I wasn't given the radio code from previous owner. This is an informative 996 group where answers are readily found.

+1 - they did the code calculation for me as well. Best part is that it was free.

OK here are a couple of quick pics.

Got the car last week. It is going to be my daily driver for awile. If it goes down then I'll drive the 968. It is a 99 with black int. Very basic car. 6 speed, CD, alarm, power windows, and sunroof. It came with no records and 90K miles, but the price was great!

After I got it home I called Henessy Porsche and they said that they have taken care of the car since 02. The previous owner did all of his 15K visits like clockwork. Plus they had a record of all of the other repairs. It appears that the 2nd owner had the car since it was 1 year old and he bought it as a lease turn in.

So far it needs a MAF (ordered) and a rear wheel bearing. And of course some new rims and a set of H&R springs.

Kinda funny but it is the same color as my first porsche. That was a 94 968 back in 1999, since then I have had 3 968's, 1 951, 2 or 3 944's a 914 and a 69 911E. Yes the P car bug bite me good.

Nice, Thanks for sharing the pics. "Harvest the pumpkins" and replace them with clear side markers.

I will harvest the pumpkins soon. I have just not gotten around to ordering them yet. Who has the best price? Also Is there a way to get rid of the orange on the bottom half of the head lights?
