I always apply Copaslip to the backs of my pads to alleviate this issue - it stops the pads floating and vibrating, and hence stops the squeal.

cdokin, so I take it you don't use the adhesive-backed dampners? As to the question about why I think its the rears...its based on the fact that the sound SEEMS to be coming from the rear, but I know the origin of such sounds can be elusive and I could be totally wrong. Thanks again for all the suggestions...I'm going to try to trouble shoot the problem with these suggestions in mind this weekend.

Scott, if you end up getting new rotors and want to mate them up with fresh pads, I never installed the Mintex Red Box rear pads on my car (after my experience with the fronts, I went with OEM). They are yours... if you want them. Mark.
