Default 2-wood strips on dash cracked

I have a 2000 cab with wood interior and the two wood strips on the dash are cracked due to sun exposure. Dealer cost is $1000+, any luck with after market replacement or ideas?

i wouldn't bother replacing it. i have the CF trim running all along the dash underneath the windshield and the sucker curves up when cold, lies flat when hot.

if i had time/energy to do it, i'd just replace it with a standard unit. porsche did a poor job of selecting vendors along this front.

I have the light wood accents (lots of them) and a couple of cracks. I think of it more as evidence that this is really wood . . . I did look at replacement of one part, however, you can get the parts number from the T-equipment list and then Google it (worked for me). If by any chance you had dark wood, there were a few used parts available. Also Pelican shows the parts, and Suncoast might be able to get them. No idea how much of the $1000 is labor, however . . . (note when you google--I have seen this as "light wood" "Burr wood" or from the official T-equipment list "Light Maple Rootwood"
