Ben, I remember reading something about another antenna across the dash also. I can't recall what it was for. Indeed, like Andy, I started reading this thread enthusiastically because of the crappy AM/FM reception. Let me reiterate: especially crappy AM reception. I'll get around to the remote range mod in a week or so. I've been meaning to do it for a while.

My baby like to play with my remote buttons. So imagine the car door locking an unlocking then imagine the alarm panic going off by 'itself'.

I'll keep the remote range on the short side.

I'm trying to find out if anyone with an '02 Carrera did this mod or if there is a TSB specific to the '02s to resolve the poor remote range issue.
