are the GT3 wider than C2's?

Where are you getting these numbers and what are the measurements referring to??? The car is based on the C4 body (narrow) so there is no change. Maybe you are referring to track width? I assume that is it since your numbers have a delta of 20mm in front and the GT3 wheels have a 10mm delta per side in offset. But the rear measurements don't make sense.

I was informed by a '04 GT3 owner that only the body is the same in regards to size but everything else is different between a non-GT3 and a GT3 (i.e. suspension, drivertrain, engine, brakes, etc.).

So Dell I agree with you 100%

That's got to be track width, not body width. The 996 GT3 uses a standard 996 C4 chassis (exact same body panels).

The original poster asks if the GT3 has a wider body. It does not.

It was the track width in fact. My bad...sorry...I was surfing some teen **** at the same time
