Default Turbo Twist Rims -- Am I On Crack?

Is it just me or are there two different kinds of twist rims.

There are the ones that the 993's came with, and the early 996's pre-facelift. Then the 2nd style turbo twists that the Turbo, C4S came with right?

Then there were hollow spoke and solid spoke versions of both.
Is it possible to get the turbo/C4S hollowspoke style wheel for a 996 narrowbody? all the solid spoke wheels i've seen have been the old 993 and early 996 style it seems...or are my eyes just playing tricks on me?

Yup there are two looks.

The only hollow spokes available for NB cars that I know of are the following part #'s and specs.
These are called the Turbo I (hollow spoke) and are the ones that look just like the 996 pre-facelift wheel and 993 wheels that we all call turbo twists but they are damn light. The rear 18x10 weighs 10.6kg where the same non hollow spoke wheel weighs 13.3kg

993.362.134.05, 18x7 ET50, weight: 8.6kg
993.302.136.00, 18x8 ET52, weight: 8.9kg
993.362.140.01, 18x10 ET65, weight: 10.6kg

Turbo Look II wheels (Turbo/C4S) are as follows and they are only available as solid spokes for narrow body offsets:
996.362.140.04, 18x10 ET 65, weight: 13kg
996.362.136.01, 18x8 ET 50, weight: 11.9kg

Yes, and the part # for them is listed in my post. Dead Eye wants them in hollow spoke for the narrowbody, but they never made them. You can only get Turbo I's in hollow spoke for the narrow body.

Ah gotcha, I wasn't sure of that when I first read it.

BTW, they looked AMAZING on my C4, and sadly I can't find a picture. All the pics of my C4 were in the winter with snow tires on...arrg.

I have just purchased 3 out of 4 turbo twist wheels for winter use (17"). Still waiting for one more rear 'scratch & dent' to complete the set. They all look new to me, and for < $100ea they are affordable. I'll post pics in another month when I convert the cab from summer to winter.

I have 2 sets and use them for track wheels..... They're actually lighter than my BBS RS-GT's.

Go figure....
