I have a '99 996 on the options specifications for the car, it had park assist factory fitted. It has obviously had a new rear bumper at some time and the park sensors were not put back.
Does anyone know where the module that the sensors would be plugged into is situated ? Any tips on how to get it working again would be appreciated.
Thank You

I'd leave it off it is ugly. It's a sports car for heavens sake not a minivan.
If you want to back up, look over your shoulder.
Just my opinion.....

I have park assist, and actually like it. Not too invasive looking either. It does not activate unless you really start getting close to the object behind you....like 2 feet or so. Then it should beep faster the close you get to it.
Your car should also make a beep noise once the car is in reverse. If you aren't getting the beep, then it's not working.
You may already know this, and it doesn't help your issue....figured you may not know this.

Edit....oops...didn't realize they weren't in the "new" bumper....yeah...I'd leave them out...must be a hassle to get the new sensors in.
