Default 996 Turbo Memory Seat retrofit

I've been asked to fit a 996 Turbo Memory Seat into a 'standard' 996 - the memory function doesn't need to work (phew!), the guy just wants the extra seat functions. He bought the seats off Evilbay - so I wasn't able to see the car they came out of. Does anyone know which 'socket' to connect power to, and the polarity of the pins? The only wiring diagram I have lists 'M538 CU Memory Right' but I don't think it's the right diagram for this seat. Attached picture shows the control unit with the sockets numbered 1-10 left to right. Socket 6 is labelled 'SPANNUNGS-VERSORGUNG' which translates as 'Tension Supply' so I'm guessing this is the power connector. Part number of the CU is 993.618.537.03. I've searched the forums, looks like this has been tried before but nobody's cracked it yet!

I had my local Porsche independent successfully install full power seats from a turbo in my 99 C2....they were even bought on ebay! lol

They are very experienced with the cars and it was still not easy (I think it took 4-5 hours of time to figure out and do the install). I didn't ask them for explicit details of how they did it but I'll try some image links that may help.

Click on the thumbnail below but then ALSO click on the larger image that opens to get an even higher-resolution version.

Connected

Original OEM car connection plug (the wire colours may help you figure out what went where).

Here are some shots of the new seat module before the seats were installed.

If you figure it out I'm sure there would be a lot of people thankful to have a DIY write-up. I wasn't able to find anything sufficiently detailed online when I was searching.

Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the pics, if your guy followed the wiring colours then the Red wires connect to Terminal 30 (permanent live), the Brown wires to Terminal 31 (ground) and the Black wire to Terminal 15 (live when ignition is on). I've got the seat in my garage, I'll dig out my 12V Bench supply and connect it all up tomorrow. I'll take some pictures and try and write it up as a DIY when I fit the seat, probably next Friday. Makes a change from fixing my 964!
