Headlight unit fell out!
I was driving at Lime Rock this weekend when my driver's side headlight unit launched itself out and bounced off the left front fender and (fortunately) into the weeds, avoiding the car behind me. I had recently had the car in for service and had a bulb replaced. I have MANY track miles on the car, and have never before had this problem, or seen anyone else have this happen. I then checked the passenger's side light and found it was also loose. Has anyone else had the headlights come loose like this?!

It is fairly easy to lock the headlight unit OUT of its tracks and to not notice it. If the mechanic was paying any attention, he would have noticed that it was unlocked. Get your dealer to buy you a new one.
