I thought it was a 997 as well, but someone pointed out the interior dash, which is obviously a 996's.
That's why I think it's a very high quality conversion, it's hard to tell from the exterior.

put on a GT2 wing and it would look very nice...I'm not feeling the existing wing.

I really like the side of the car. The air intake on the quarter panel flows much more nicely than the stock 996. Wheels are nice too.

The color is too much and the wing is a joke. Also, the exhausts look like they came of of a Maserati MC12--very ricey.

But you can't argue with the execution--I guess the fact that everyone mistook it for a real 997 attests to that. Impressive workmanship, to say the least.

I've got to admit that I don't like much of Gemballa's styling, but the avalanche is almost as good as a wet dream involving Angelina Jolie.

I've had these photos in my desktop photo folder for a while and still never tire of them.

I don’t like the spoiler at all or the fuzzy looking dash or the wire mess rear but other than that it’s ok. Cool color.

Redridge is correct, it is a 996. Take another look at the interior pic, which shows a 996 interior.

Default I Like it !!!

I love the colour a lot and the finished look.

The rear wing is OK except for those intake holes on it which seem to be functional but it also has air intake on the rear deck already and sides of the car.

The interior is over the top IMHO and they went that far with it but did not get seats that have painted backs.

Not into branding cars with names that much, I mean it is a Porsche Carrera, so 'avalanche' makes it sound like an SUV

So move the steering wheel to the left (although I am from England and so it is on the correct side for me), and what is the price?

IMO a GT2 wing would make it perfect..... But then it would have a GT2 wing and they couldn't call it gemballa!

That's exactly what I was thinking. It has to be unique.
And I think, although a little too much, the wing is appropriate for that wild and aggressive look.

Yeah, I breezed past the interior pictures. That's a lot of work for a 996.
