It's been fun here but I am selling my C4 tomorrow. The weirdest thing is that I bought on my 35th birthday, tomorrow I am 37 and exactly 2 years to the day I found a buyer after 3 months. Freaky eh?
I am thinking of taking a break from P land for a while, before I will be back in a year or 2 and my short list is:
From: looking for a job ... Colorado by bye 996 C4 :(
I would take the Gallardo over the 360. I think the Gallardo is the better overall car, AWD, German engineering with Italian styling. The F430 would might be another story. The Bentley might be interesting. I think that would be a bit stealthy when driving it around. The M cars are nice but i would pass them for any of the other cars listed.
I drove one last November and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just be very careful of driveways and other bumps as it is very low to the ground. The Ferrari 360 is nice but I would step up to the F430 if possible.
BTW..sorry to lose you as a Porsche owner, keep us posted on what you do later.
I am in the same boat 360 vs the Gallardo I am leaning towards the Lambo wife wants it next year when we payoff her G wagon... So +1 Lambo maintanance costs seem to be less as most is Audi R8 stuff vs hand made Italian parts...
new M5. Hotnesss but low profile. Plus you can actually scare the pants off more than one person at a time. If you go f-car I'd say step up to the 430, although it is not quite as raw. The big question is whether this will be a driver or a garage queen. If you're gonna drive it, stay away from the F-car, the Lambo, and the Bentley. They take a big hit for any miles. Stupid but true.
The Bentley Continental GT and Gallardo are VWs so they will be reliable. My neighbor has a Bentley Continental and it drives like the Phaeton (which it essentially is), which is to say it drives very nicely. It is a very heavy car, but it does well.
