Question Cab "clank" noise from firewall on body flex

A couple of months ago I was going into a gas station with a very high curb, so I had to go in diagonally to avoid scraping and the car flexed so severely that I heard something "pop". Now anytime I go over a curb that puts stress on the car I can hear that clank/clang noise coming from the firewall area. I removed the plastic crap in the trunk and looked around and grabbed onto stuff and jiggled everything but nothing appears to be loose. Less than 30K miles on this '02, I wouldn't expect things like this to happen. No accident history on the car either.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks,

Michael

Could it be the suspension? Maybe a strut is damaged or somehow loosened up on you. My pss9s made a clunk when going over a curb until I had an alignment done. Then the sound went away.
