Default 2000 C2 Cab Please Help!

Hi,
I have a 2000 C2 Cab and I'm having issues with the top. It seem to only go up and down when it feels like it. This is usually after the engine has been cool for a while and I start it up fresh. For example, if I'm driving with the top down and I reach my destination, decide to put the top up, the convertible dash light starts blinking, but nothing happens with the top. If I leave the car there for a while (i.e. a couple of hours) and try again after starting her up, the top has a better chance of coming up (6 out of 10 times). When the top does decide to cooperate, however, it goes through it's motions flawlessly.

My question is, what could this be? Could it be a fuse issue or the battery? It's really frustrating when it's about to rain and I can't get the top back up.
Please help!

The convertible top is actuated if: LIGHT will be blinking
1. Terminal 15is connected via ignition.
2. The parking break input is connected to ground (parking break engaged).
3. No speedometer signals greater than 3 mph are present.
4. Engine compartment lid is closed (input not at ground potential).

Fault memory

When the cov light is blinking the top will not operate. The 7 fault memory give are the possible fault readings.

Do a search, this has been covered before, also some have done different things to maintain parts to extend correct working order....

Just posted a nearly identical question last week. Have the hydraulic fluid filled. Pretty easy task to have done. I have a 2000 Cab also and my indie shop said the fluid was definately low.

As a side note, before I had the fluid added I removed my Wilhelmy remote top chips (2 of them) to make sure it wasn't them. In my haste I apparently bent a couple pins in the control box under the driver's seat, which needed to be replaced ($380), and then that needs to be recoded ($200 at dealer), and then they say I need a new FOB key ($175 per key). Man - talk about ballooning out of control.
