Question ABS & PSM Light on dash

On my MY2000 C4, when I punch it hard off the line, the abs and psm light on the instrument panel lights up, and they stop working. In order to get it to working again, I have to turn the car off and restart it to reset it. I've done this about three times in a row and each time the same thing happens. Any Ideas?

Likely a bad brake light switch (easy to test with a helper) or a bad MAF.

get the codes read and stop looking for a guess from us. we'll be happy to help you understand the codes once read.

I checked the codes with my OBDII reader and there wasn't any codes stored. I did have a check engine light with codes 1128 & 1130; which I cleaned the MAF. The 1128 & 1130 codes have disappeared, but not that I think about it, I never had the abs & psm before cleaning the MAF. I guess I should just replace the MAF.

Ah, sounds like a MAF. Went through the same sort of thing with mine.

What reader are you using? 1128 & 1130 are notorious for MAF...and if the MAF went...cleaning will not help.
