Going to the PCA site is a good idea. Besides the Northern New Jersey Region, there's also the Jersey Shore Region, the Schattenbaum Region (for central New Jersey/nearby Pensylvania area), and the Sudenvolk Region (for Atlantic/Cape May area).
Join the Region where you live, but keep in mind that you can almost always attend events put on by other regions. That's the beauty of PCA. I'm in New Jersey, but I often attend events put on by the Riesentoter Region, Chesapeake Region, Jersey Shore Region, and the Connecticut Valley Region.
Good luck!

The Northern New Jersey Region and the Connecticut Valley Region are two of the largest in PCA. Sparks is right...look at their events schedules to get a flavor of what they do. Look at the other nearby regions as well. Good hunting!
