I'll be moving to the Buick Electra forum - I'm sure I can find some posters my age there.

Hey, I think there was a thread a few months ago for fitting air vents to the fenders of your Porsche (like a Buick), I'll have to find that for you.

BTW, how fast were you going that you thought you had triggered a speed warning?

You guys crack me up. I'm sitting here laughing out loud to myself.

I wouldn't take it up over 60 unless you have a aero kit on it. I've hard the earlier 996's get loose in the front end at "high" speeds.

Oh man, I had forgotten about the "speed alert" comment Phil made in his first post! Man, just how fast can one go when they are driving up and down their driveway.... 16, 17 MPH?

"Speed alert"

<== this one is to match the "little green 3/4 circle"

I hear the Buick Lucerne is coming out with BSE (Buick Sport Exhaust) for '08. Can't wait to hear that sucker rumbling down my driveway at 5mph

.... or, if you wanted to save some money, you could just get the stock mufflers and we could do a BSE MK I mod. In fact, the more I think about it, that is the way to go, because if you pay extra for the BSE, you certainly won't get you money's worth, as little as you drive.

That would be correct - bovine spongiform encephalopathy to be precise. Which I may be afflicted with, although we don't see much of it in SE PA. BTW, Speed Demon - actually have 2225 miles and counting!!

I figured you would know Phil.

I know it because I'm one of the lucky ones that might be incubating it... ahh the joys of having lived in the UK.
