I'm looking at a few high mileage early 996s, and other than the obvious engine issues these cars are plagued with (I've done my homework on that front!), what are other issues these cars might have?
Is there a mileage that's considered "too high"? (Over 200k miles...) I know with other cars, values start to go down quite a bit after 150k miles, but I see several 996s with that amount that have asking prices perhaps $5k less than comperable cars with half that mileage. For example, asking prices in the low 30s for cars with 60-70k miles and high 20s for for cars with 130-150k miles -- which, by the way, Kelly Blue Book claims a private party value of about $21,500.
In general, I don't mind high mileage cars -- I have, and have had, lots of cars with over 100k -- and three over 200k. My 914 is a babe at 96k miles -- but that's already had every thing replaced... twice...
Thanks for your thoughts!

I currently have 109,000 I have no engine issues other than CELs. The RMS has never even leaked, knock on wood. I did replaced the suspension last fall with ROW030. The car has been very reliable I purchased it in Nov of 2005 for 29k it is a C4.

Traded my 2001 C2 had 71,000 miles (bought it new). Used as DD never had any problems with it. No RMS, original brakes, and battery. Very reliable for me as was my 1979 SC with over 200,000 miles before that!
