I still understand people's concerns about MySpace and they are valid because I get spam friends request all the time. But there are many people such as myself that have accounts that are built around the basics of MySpace and that is keeping in touch with friends.
There are also many other sites like MySpace out there where similar things go on, in fact more things than on MySpace because those sites are not on the media radar.
No problem not having a MySpace site, it's not for everyone, but if you want to stay in touch with friends in a more interactive way then MySpace is a good way. It does have a lot of built-in security and safety, like making your profile Private so that only your friends, friends that are on your list, can view it.
Oh, and he end of the world, well that is going to happen with or without MySpace

You know, I find letters, phone calls, and emails to be a lot more personal way of keeping in touch with friends. For those that I don't manage to catch using those methods, then they can always visit our personal website.
I really dislike these impersonal ways of "keeping in touch with friends". If that's the best way of keeping in touch with "friends", then I'd say that they're not really Friends.
I'd even go so far as saying that if Myspace is relied upon as the main method of keeping in touch with people you know, then they quickly become people you don't know, because you have no way of keeping up with what they're up to, what they care about and everything else that's going on in their lives.

to continue the off-topicness, not because that car isn't hot - because it is And That color rules, but you guys are so wrong about what myspace is. Sure, keeping in touch with close friends is easy. It's people you were very good friends with in high-school or college who've moved away and you haven't spoken to in 8 years that aren't easy. I've gotten in touch with some of my closest friends who, for whatever reason, lost contact with.
If myspace is the only way you keep in touch with them, then no they probably aren't your best friends, but that doesn't make them people you want to forget about completely. No, it won't replace having a good conversation with friends over coffie, but myspace can be a very personal way of keeping in touch, depending on how you use it.
Of course, nobody is going to change your mind, but I just thought I'd interject a little.

That is a beautiful car - thanks for posting pics.
I'd get a myspace account, but I'm afraid hot little 14-year-old girls pretending to be 60-year old pervs would start harrassing me, asking if we can meet, and sending lewd e-mails.

That's very nice looking!
Since you're near Pinellas Park you've got Joe Vatter at Germantech just down the street, they do pretty much any mod you could ever want and specialize in Porsche. I just had some paint work done on my car and they've always got an interesting mix of cars around the shop. Highly recommended.
