Cool GT3 Seat Install DIY

DIY of removal of stock seats and installation of Euro GT3 Seats.

http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/albuq24

I know Rockitman made a great DIY already. In fact I read his several times when I installed my seats. Thanks to him! I made this one with some more detailed procedures of some of the steps.

Excellent! Very well thought out. I appreciate the effort this took and hope to use it in the near future.

I agree Arnee. The OEMs are kinda expensive... but worth it. It took me two years to find a special deal from a close friend for them. He happened to order a second set with red deviated stitching to match his interior.

You are a lucky man indeed. I would love to have these seats but I would want them in Metropool blue of course.

actually a GT3 seat upgrade might makes sense if you plan to resell your car. I swapped in a set of mint slightly used GT3 seats and put the OEM seats into storage. Checked on my OEM seats last week and they still look brand new and will make my car more attractive to a buyer. On top of that I can probably get close to what I paid for my GT3 seats ($1700) after two years of weekend only use.
Win-Win.

p.s.
I'd also cover the dash with a beach towel in addtion to the center console.

Mike,
Can you shed any light on my GT3 seat install questions in this thread?

Kerry, see my post to that thread. It is the attachment points for the factory SCHROTH 6pt harness lap belts.

Very good points! That will surely keep them looking new. Did you apply Lexol on the seat before storage to preserve the hide? and do you keep them inside heavy dark plastic bags with desicants? I'm thinking of doing all that on mine/ they're sitting in my beroom.
