In high school a guy would have a 283 or a 327 and put a 454 badge on his car. All we would say is, you want to race? It is a strange way to badge your car and to me it makes no sense. If it were me I would just de-badge the car and make everyone wonder. But to get into a spitting contest over it is becoming brain damage. I vote on just posting a and move on each time this comes up(which seems to be every 2 weeks or so).

Understanding
Let me see if I understand this thread.
1) Someone posts pictures of a car they own.
2) Another member says they don't like something about the car that the original poster said was on the car when he/she bought it.
3) We end up here getting personal with each other and casting insults.
Guys, I think there's room for all of us.
To Steven C: I do the same thing and d-badge the cars. Or at least up the performance to a level people don't expect.
To LVDell: Can't wait to get to NC. We had a home built N of Charlotte. I bet you know all the roads. Hope to meet you soon....and I will try to keep up.
To NOBY: Car looks great. Get yourself a EVO Supercharger and, if you can drive, they won't see which way you went.
Regards,
JLC

Funny thing is, I think only "Porsche guys" would know the difference to call him out on it. So it is self-defeating.
I have seen some re-badging I thought was cool: GT-Street, Carrera 3.6, 911 3.8, GT-3.6. In those cases it's a custom badging (these cars were modded) but not misrepresenting anything.

After reading 4 pages of this going back and forth about someone's car...I simply don't get it.
Someone posted and shared proudly pictures of their car. Some people did not like certain things and they point it out...people get personal and they even go as far at making cracks about vocabulary and english skills...sometimes I wonder about some people around here.
So what if someone decides to put a GT3 badge on a "fake" GT3....how exactly does that affect the "true" GT3 owners? Is it the fact that you guys obviously spent a LOT more money and have a much better car overall and it makes you upset that someone, that did not spend that much money, "pretends" that they did? They are in a completely different country even....??? Come one. Let him be...
Oh yes, I think it is kind of silly but I have seen worse....
