Have the OEM in mine and love it! Great mod. I understand there's no difference either between the OEM and B&M, but I'm since I'm neurotic that way, I went with the OEM SSK.

About 1.5 hours for teh SSK and another 20 to 30 minutes for teh Ebrake.

Why not do it yourself! Can you turn a screwdriver? Can you use a socket wrench? If so, you CAN do this! The B&M site has great instructions, and there are a lot of guys here that can give you some tips to make the install easier.

My OEM came installed in the housing so it was quicker to install. It is black instead of blue, but looks exactly like the B&M.

Got mine from a dealer for the same price as the B&M.

The shifting can be a bit notchy, but overall is much better than stock.

With the ssk, how is the neutral to reverse feel? I find the stock setup is WAY to easy to shift into reverse from neutral. I have to be really gentle when at a light, or I wind up in reverse, looking like a moron!

Factory shift kit is a much easier install. No removal of the shift handle from the plastic housing because the kit IS the entire housing with a short shift already installed. You should have no problem installing.

btw, the shift kit installed into the Porsche housing may be B&M but the kits are ANYthing but the same! All kits OTHER than the Porsche kit will require an irreversible modification to your shifter housing. Once you chisel the bushings out, you cannot go back to stock shift throw and feel without buying another assembly.
