Default Windshield Shade Suggestions?

Looking for a nice windshield shade to keep the heat and sun damage down. What do folks in Florida and Arizona do?

I don't care for the pleated foldable foam/reflect foil jobs... take a bit too much space. The collapsible wire rimmed cloth units are ok, but wondering if there's something better.

All opinions or leads appreciated.

Tint it seriously you could put a light tint on the front that blocks the UV rays, seen it done, had it done on another car...not here in Cali though.

Tint could work but, still interested in a shade. Covercraft is decent quality, but are a little bulky to stow. That why I thought I'd check in to see if anything better had come along since I last bought one several years ago.

I have used Heatshield sun shades for more than 10 years in several cars. Canvasworks makes a high quality product and have excellent customer service. They are custom fit for each car. It is a roll-up design so it is not the most compact design, but it is insulated and very effective at keeping the car cooler. The cloth bound edges don't leave any marks on the dashboard. Plus they last practically forever.

I have no interest in the company, I'm just a satisfied long-time customer.

+1

I have had the CoverCraft UVS100 for every car I have owned. Quality piece all the way, and easy to fold and toss in the back seat.

I had ceramic tint put on my windshield.. 60%.. very light but keeps the car VERY cool for me here in SoCal. The other windows and rear glass are tinted at 40%.

I used the OEM Porsche sunshield as recommended by some of the guys on this forum a while back. It's fantastic looking and quite sturdy. I ordered it over at Sunset Porsche.

I agree. I have used their sun shades in various cars for over ten years and they are very good. I just ordered one for my new 997S, and it fits perfectly and works great.
