1. Seek to have a guardian for Tim appointed by the court so that this sale of his beloved car can be blocked.
2. Convince Tim's wife that she should continue to drive the Mercedes until its lease is up in September.
3. Convince Tim that upon reaching the end of the lease, he should turn the Mercedes in and buy his wife a nice, CPO BMW 3-Series, or a new one if finances permit. BMW often has attractive financing on its used cars - I've bought them at 1.9% and 2.9% in the last two years.
By taking the above action, Tim will be able to keep the Porsche he loves so much. What do you guys think?

However, I do like your logic. It is just as warped as mine is!

Tim: Good luck selling your baby.. I'm sure it did not come easy. I sold my 05-C4S recently, but purchased an 03-TT which looks exactly as my C4S so therefore it did not feel so bad. Hopefully you stay in the Porsche family. Once you get used to driving these cars it is hard to go to something else, but you need to do what is right for you. Good luck and please stay around since you provide many people with great information and especially your humor. You have made me smile many times
