Default MK2 Cup Lip/Splitter On MK1 Aero Bumper?

Gents,

Has anyone managed to get this to fit? What modifications were required? Any pictures?

Many thanks in advance.

Dell did this sometime back, and even posted some instructions and pictures of the process. Hopefully he'll chime in here with the link to the post. Or, you could search....

I have done lots of searching! I have been in touch with Dell, and he put the MK2 GT3 street car splitter on a MK1 bumper, not the Cup splitter...

Thanks

The install is very simple as long as you have the aero front bumper and not the standard bumper. Just install either the street GT3 or cup spliter to the bumper by attaching the middle hole in the splitter to the middle hole in the bumper and then tape the splitter to your car so that it is centered, straight, and symetrical. Then using a drill bit that creates the same size hole as the factory predrilled holes for the MkI splitter, just drill out your new holes in the aero bumper using your taped splitter as a template. Install the plastic rivets and VOILA!

If it's that simple, i'm placing my order now! I was under the impression that the sides have to be trimmed etc.

You do have to trim it. But what you are trimming is the end of the run on each side since it extends a couple inches further into the wheel well than the MkI splitter. I did a full writeup with pics over on Renntech and illustrated how and where I trimmed.

Here you go. Cup Splitter bought from The Racers Group. Some drilling is required, but installation is pretty straight forward. Fit is not "perfect," but I am very happy with the look.

If you didn't trim the end of the run it would be in your wheel well.
