Default Differences in C4S 2002 to 2005

Those are the MY for the 996 C4S, correct? I was wondering the changes they made each year if anyone knows off-hand. Thanks

If there were any changes they would be minor, since '02 - '05 were post facelift 996 cars.

Actually, there was one pretty significant change made in MY '03...the addition of the MOST bus system (fiber optic loop). As I did my research, I got a chance to talk with the head tech of my local dealership. I quizzed him on the types of issues he sees on C4Ss...we talked about the engine (e.g. his thoughts on RMS, etc.) and he toward the end of our chat he volunteered that he sees far less electrical issues with MY03 996s and on due to the updated electronics. And, we he does so, the faulty sensor can be quickly located and replaced (rather than tracing "yards of wire" as he put it).

I still have lots to learn about these cars as I am a new Pcar owner and I don't honestly understand all the underlying architecture. That said, the comment made enough of an impression on me that I shifted my search to '03 and newer C4Ss - of course, they cost more

I believe the switch to the MOST bus is for all 996s, not just the C4S.

The MOST also makes upgrading the stereo very difficult. If you're chaning the head unit, it won't interface with the bose amp (proprietary fiberoptics) so you'll have to change HU and amps together.

They also changed from cassette holders to CD holders in the dash.
