Default retro-fit projectors?

i know this is a little off.... but has anyone retrofit their projectors to the S2000 or Audi projectors? these are one of the clearest and nicest cut off i've ever seen on the projectors and wished porsche made them this nice..........so does anyone know who does it or who does them?

Wouldn't you be better served asking this on a Honda or Audi board? I can't imagine ANYBODY here taking apart a set of litronics to install them in their import racer.

Dell, that was a little harsh. I have looked at how to disassemble a factory housing. Aint gonna be easy. Old BMW shake and bake technique appears useless due to the adhesive used being more an RTV type substance than a heat activated glue.

How is that harsh? For trying to direct him to the board for the marque he is interested in installing them in. Not to mention I can't imagine dismantling a $1500 set of lights just to have projectors in an import racer.

Maybe you are reading something into a statement that isn't there.

Dell, I think he was talking about converting a 911's light housing to use an Audi or Stuka projector. At least that was how I read it.

Ah, that makes more sense. If that is how it is interpreted then I totally understand. Still, I don't understand why this would be done unless you had halogen projectors instead of the zenons.

i just picked up a set of litronics so i have both halogens and the litronics...but honestly, not too impress with the light output on the litronics.... my brother's TL lights are much more impressive..... so i figured it's the actual projector that's emitting this light pattern.......

The Audi projectors are about as lame as the Porsche units.

The S2000's is... the best bar none.

It's a lot of work, though.

I forgot which model year you have. Is it the 99-01 or 02+??? The 99-01 Litronics blow compared to the 02+ setup. I have them in both my 99-01CAB and my GT3 and the GT3could light up a forest!

If you look at the S2000 projector lens, it's completely clear whereas most if not all others are diffused

Porsche-Smile and Benjamin,
I completely agree, Porsche could learn something from the HIDs used in the Honda cars. My S2000 had the best lights I have ever seen in any car.

Don't think it is really a practical conversion though...
