Default stereo- final chapter, maybe

Okay....before anyone starts to put on their flame suits let me tell you that I have gone through any variation of words dating back to 2004 to find the answers I seek and have yet come up empty or maybe slightly confused. I need help and I need specifics.

The information requested will be for my 2003 Targa sporting a High End Bose system (thanks to the previous owner) and NO CD changer.

I bought today the AVIC-Z2, Bluetooth module, and the XM NAV-Traffic module. What I am looking for is more specifics as to what I am missing to complete this task next weekend.
I DO have the number for the replacement trim.
I DO have the part number for the upper pocket to replace the CD holder.

What I do NOT have is confirmation that the Metra part number for the harness CAN work for the 2003-current cars. The posts that I see it used in is for NON-MOST cars and not mine.
What I do NOT have is a wiring layout if required for the speakers.
What I do NOT have is confirmation as to if the OEM head unit has to be moved to the trunk to avoid codes or if that was just preventative measures.

I have been following posts by 3 primary people that have put these in but I want to see if we can't get a compiled list of things needed once and for all to do the aftermarket installs for those that want to do it.

I have done a ton of reading and perhaps I have missed some bits here and there buried in threads that I didn't think had to do with installs.

Remember that I am looking for specifics as they apply to the 2003-current MOST cars.

Thanks everyone.
When my car comes back Monday with a fresh coat of paint on the nose and no chips, I will be digging into the inside.

bob.

Just talk to an installer who has done Porsches, they know more than just about anyone on here.

The advise I got from an installer was free and I used him about 3 times for different configurations.

My local installers know little about these cars and even less about the MOST systems.
I can't imagine Rod telling me stuff when I have no way of using him as an installer but I will drop him a line anyway.

If you had called him, you could have bought the equipment from him and gotten free technical support....I got my amp froom him and he matched prices and gave me excellent advice on install....if you dont think you have all the pieces, call him and get the rest from him.
