One month ago I installed the Kenwood Excelon 693. I love it. Has three pre-outs, bluetooth, USB, direct IPod, lots of sound control, etc. I purchased for $200 from Rod Birch (among other components) at http://www.caraudioinnovations.com/ but you can get it for less here http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_...celon+KDC-X693. I can help w/ install too... which reminds me, I need to post a thread on my install.

Do you have any pictures of the install? Just want to get a sense for how clean it looks on the dash....
Also how is the bluetooth performance?
The most important things for me are bluetooth and satellite radio...
Don't need the Nav...
I dig the symetric old-school look. Actually, I dig that unit completely. Although I really want a nav system in whatever I end up going with, I'm so bad at directions. Will look at the ones recommended in this thread.
FWIW, here's mine (pre console delete). I thought that the Nakamichis were the best match to the rest of the dash, but the Alpine's iPod integration was great. The iPod is in the rear console box. The Alpine lets you choose your display colours, and I find the orange option looks reasonably complimentary to the rest of the dash.

Ah yes, that's another nice feature of the Kenwood too. As a matter of fact, it has a "user" color option controls, that allow very precise matching (for those sticklers - not me though).
I'd be very interested to see how the colors match up tot he stock Porsche LCDs. I will not/can not put in a HU that doesn't look like it belongs there, which is seriously like 99% of them. I have an ancient, (1997) Blaupunkt Toronto that has Variocolor and it will match every color on its face exactly to the th ePorsche, and sounds better than the OEM unit, BUT it doesn't do anything but the basics (AM/FM/CD/Aux), and it skips easily on CDs that are home recorded. If they made a unit like that with HD, BT, and iPod interface, I'd buy 2 of them in a heartbeat!
EDIT: sheesh, didn't even see that there was a second page....never mind...
