Everyone welcome Chao "chsu74"! He is flying into Chicago next week to pick up the car.

He got a sweet deal!
Guess I slept through that class! Good to know ...

Congratulations, Chao, great looking car!

Thanks Todd. It is from reading this forum for the past 7 months or so that gave me an idea of which first Porsche I want to own.

LvDell,

I wanted to make Tim feel as though his responsibility as a "Newbie Pic Police" is still alive and well. He was complaining that he was not able to properly initiate new members of the board a couple months ago and don't want to disappoint.....

Ray,
I would love to get all of the car pics you took in high res burned on a disc. There may be a desktop background pic in there.

This board is very informative and entertaining at times with the existing personalities. I am excited to be a part of this community and sure will have other questions other than whether I have to post pics of soon to be my car!

Makes me miss my silver cab too, but beautiful to see the Pcar family growing without losing members.

Hello Folks,

Just got back to Fairfield County, CT after 1,000 miles of "bonding" with the car. LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!

Many thanks to Ray for all his help in making this possible. Gotta love V1 which saved my behind many times. Not that I am a fast driver but it is so easy to get carried away. My favorite was this stretch of the PA TPKE where there are about 5 or 6 tunnels. I would just down shift, roll down the windows and listen to the PSE Wail, Purr and Bark.

Tim, I will have pics up in a few days because the car is so bug splattered and dirty from driving in the rain today. I want to make sure he is "picture perfect."

I look forward in being part of this wonderful community. Many thanks again in welcoming me with open arms.

I wish I had more time to hang out and chat about the car. I had a client call I could not miss that morning! I felt bad the rest of the day that it was a rushed transaction.

The detailer spent 6 hours on the exterior. The car did not even look that good when I bought it!
It's one hot car!

Best of luck to you with it...
