Default Help on Tubi exhaust and Tequipment Sport tips

I went to install my new set of Tubi exhausts this morning and noticed that when I put on the Tequipment tip to the exhaust, that the clamp was too large. I tightened it till the ends pretty much touched each other and the tip was still loose. Are there different size exhaust clamps? or maybe the tubi's end is too small? There is sort of a metal ring on the tubi's that you slide to the end to make it a little larger, but it still doesn't do the trick..... Any help is appreciated...

Thanks,Will

When I installed my "used" TechArt sport exhaust system, there are 2 metal O-rings that sit inside and in between the exhaust can and the OEM exhaust tip. This is because for some reason the T/A can has a different end-flange design compared to the OEM. The OEM end-flange is round-in but the T/A is flared-out, kinda weird... That was the only difference between OEM and T/A. The OEM clamps worked fine on the T/A as long as I had the metal O-ring in between. I am not sure if your Tubi system is like that or not, but sounds like it bc even with the clamp max-tighten, the tip is still loose, it has to be missing something in between. If so, you should contact Tubi Rep in the US and ask them why it's loose? Good luck...
Cheers,

Zookie - Do you mean like a ring between the exhaust flange and the tip? or something that goes over the exhaust flange? Thanks,Will

I have been reading on different exhaust system. Alot of people have fab or awe systems. How is the sound, power on the tubi. I looked at the Champion F77 video and the car sounded more like a cup car than anything else.

I've had a set of FAbspeeds and the tubi don't give the resonance the fab speeds do. I just got them installed with th tips this past weekend. I'll try and get a little video out there so you can hear how it sounds.....

Here it is....

Different size clamps are available. I have a set of tubi's as well and love the sound and most important no resonance!!!!!!!!

Had a set of fabspeed and had to take them off. Great sound but the resonance was intolerable.

Anyone know how the tubi compares to GHL from a sound standpoint?

Its the same at cruising speeds - but the tubi louder (raspier sound, not deeper sound) when accelerating. I've had both on my car.
